Federal minimum wage needs to be raised so people can actually make a livable wage when working. There are a lot of single parents that can only work a job making minimum wage and can’t afford to pay anything even with working 2 or 3 jobs. Something needs to be done about this.

In the 1950’s wages, in the steel industry for sweeping the floors, were $25/hr. Today almost 70 years later we are still talking about a very low minimum wage. We should make the minimum wage at least $25/ hour. Still very low but in some states an affordable wage especially if income taxes are cut like President Trump is suggesting. I suggest not just a regular tax cut; a tax cut that most middle class Americans will enjoy. No taxes on $1,500,000 of net income. All income above this amount would be taxed at 25% without any tax shelters of other deductions.
Just look at California to see what that has done. Minimum wage jobs are not designed to live off of they are for part time and starter jobs.
