Wages should be raised to adapt to inflation or increases in daily life necessities such as grocery, gas, rent/mortgage, etc. Americans cannot survive or sustain day to day expenses when all the prices are going up but still getting paid the same.
There should also be a cap on how much CEOs and Executives can make, which should be by a certain percentage of what their workers are getting paid. This includes any earnings they make (ie stock/securities, bonuses, commissions, etc).
I believe this should be related to payroll tax for small businesses. As a small business owner, I want to be able to pay my employees more but you have no idea what we pay in payroll taxes per pay period. We would go out of business. and sure we could raise prices of our service or product but then we lose customers because they don’t want to pay more. First we need to help small businesses by eliminating payroll taxes. Now if you’re talking about big corporations then that’s something I’d have to do research in. But as a business owner, we are doing the best we can for our employees
