Population Health Policies

Refocus public health care to primordial prevention to reach the root cause of chronic diseases and cancers. Get rid of ultra-processed foods, ban harmful chemicals, food dyes, and artificial flavors, make fruits and vegetables affordable, get rid of chemical pesticides, make sunscreen and gym memberships tax deductible or FSA eligible, cover dieticians and food coaches under health insurance plans, place a focus on whole being health within medical schools, refocus our healthcare systems reimbursement methods to value-based so that doctors get paid for reversing and curing disease rather than placing a bandaid pharmaceutical on their patients health, bonuses for keeping patients out of the hospital, puts caps on big pharma profits and ban kickbacks, include environmentalists and housing inspectors within our health care system so that we can address individual environmental issues and keep those patients out of the ER (examples: mold, radon, lead pipes, sewer runoff into a well… etc).
