My daughter is 9 years old. Due to a traumatic brain injury during labor and delivery, she struggles daily with neurological and motor issues. She’s dual diagnosis Cerebral Palsy and Autism. We try hard to find healthy alternatives to snack foods and meals to help support healthy neurological and physical functions which are already damaged. But it is very expensive and tough to keep up financially. Is there a way we can encourage health insurance companies to cover “neurological nutrition plans” in the same way they are quick to write RX for various neurological drugs - especially as we see more research about the neurological and physical benefits of eliminating sugar, seed oils, dyes etc.
