No More Foreign Aid if We Do Not Have a Balanced Budget and Surplus of Reserve Money

The Untied States will no longer send any financial aid in any foreign wars or disasters unless or until they have a balanced budget and the country is no longer running on a deficit.

I think I would add this thought. I don’t want the government deciding who or what country my charity goes to with my tax dollars. I think the American people should decide that. I also believe that if there are charitable organizations that are run by people that at least 98% of the money they bring in goes to the people/country/organization they want to help. No more “nonprofit” charities that only have pennies on the dollar actually go to help while CEO’s and others in the organization take an obscene amount of the money for their salaries.

I think with Trump in there they’re going to start cutting off a lot of the countries but instead of no more foreign aid without a balanced budget maybe we should just can simply consider no more foreign aid.
Or no more foreign aid until we are running a surplus equal to our current debt

No more foreign aid, till they send planes to pick up their citizens and reimburse our taxpayer dollars, spent on each and every illegal,

Foreign aid should be reciprocal, especially for disasters.
If people want to give “aid”, let them give their own money to charities.

I could get behind this, but would love an add that encouraged Americans to give where they see appropriate through additional tax incentives.

Example up to a $500 per year tax credit for donations benefiting qualified charitable organizations. ( I just made that number up I am sure some math could provide an optimal number )

A credit is more favorable than a deduction . I would note my thought could negatively impact tax receipts.

Why any foreign aid at all? Why is the government deciding to redistribute the people’s money to any “need”—foreign or domestic? If we want to contribute to a charity, it should be our choice to do so with our own private money, not for the government to use the people’s money for. Constitutionally, the government exists for the people.

No more foreign aid period!!! Americans do NOT want to pay for the world’s problems. We want to take care of OUR OWN. There is a surplus of food every year in Africa. Leaders are too corrupt to share it wisely. No more aid because leaders are corrupt and cannot be trusted.

Yes! Specifically that the debt is paid in full and a balanced budget. Being fiscally responsible for once, in other words. NO PRINTED MONEY!

I fully agree with your stance on NO MORE foreign aid!! So completely tired of helping the world when the help is not reciprocated. Additionally, our tax dollars are too easily used in money laundering schemes by our corrupt career politicians. I still don’t want our tax money going outside our country even if we have a balanced budget or surplus. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Indeed, why would a nation headed for bankruptcy be magically finding money to bail out other nations? The reality is that government money to foreign nations is often used as money laundering for those in control of it. Look at Ukraine. Not even any ACCOUNTING or AUDIT being done. And if you watch Mike Benz’s analyses on X, that whole thing is a CIA effort to keep Russia away from accessing oil so that Western oil companies can have those. Insanity. Hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to buy the deaths of over a half million Ukrainian men and oil contracts for profits for a handful of companies.

I don’t know what the final decision will be, or how it will be done to protect seniors, but know Trump wants to do that. Elon, Vivek, Rand Paul and others are being set loose to try to right the ship. But we don’t yet know what the plan is.

Incredibly, we’ve gone 4 years with Biden Admin inflation (which is estimated to have amounted to a 20-25% cut alone for SS) and spending like crazy on illegals with zero being done to address social security.

From an October post on X where a Congressman is questioning Janet Yellen:

“When social goes broke in nine years, under current law, there’s a 24% cut in benefits for people who are currently receiving. . . . Of the $4.5 trillion in taxes [Biden] has proposed, not a dime is going to shore up Social Security. Does the president know personally anybody who is dependent upon Social Security, and if their benefits are cut by 24%, they will slide into poverty? . . . Why doesn’t the president care? "

Janet Yellen response: He cares very deeply.

“Then where is his plan?”

Janet Yellen response: He stands ready to work with Congress to address…

“That’s a lie, because when a bipartisan group of senators has repeatedly requested to meet with him about social, so that somebody who is a current beneficiary will not see her benefits cut by 24%, we have not heard anything on our request. And we’ve made multiple requests to meet with the president.”

Trump plans to cut all taxes on social security payments for seniors, but that’s not really anything for very low income people anyway.

No, charity should be quiet you should give because you want to not because you’re getting something out of it. If you’re not willing to give without getting something in return then simply don’t give.

 I can see where I was thinking to in line with current tax law and how the feds use tax law to influence behavior. Ty for calling me out on an inconsistency in my logic vs other policies I have advocated for on this. Specifically the Fair Tax . My prior post would not li e up with that well.

I also don’t believe that charity group should be tax-free I do think the church should be taxed along with everybody else who collects money you’re collecting money if your charity only collects $10 a year you know that’s $10 a year that you collected. Give to Caesar what is Caesars

Oh you know what we really should have a scorecard
Every politician that votes to send money overseas they should have a scorecard and the listing of what money went over there for what reason whether it’s Egyptian tourism or NATO humanitarian aid or NATO aid they should have to have a scorecard and they should have to keep a balance that way we can check it each week and see how much money they’re sending overseas

I completely understand the frustration with how tax dollars and charitable funds are managed. The idea of giving the American people more agency in deciding where their contributions go is an intriguing one—after all, people are often more invested and engaged when they have a say in where their resources are allocated.

It’s also true that transparency in charities is vital. Too many nonprofits operate under the guise of goodwill while funneling massive amounts of donations into administrative costs and executive salaries. We need stricter oversight and more accessible reporting so that donors know their hard-earned money is making a real impact.

That said, we also have to balance compassion with practicality. While focusing on domestic issues and addressing the deficit are essential, international aid often strengthens relationships, provides global stability, and even supports American interests abroad. It’s not always a clear-cut decision.

Maybe the solution is greater transparency and accountability, not just in charitable organizations but also in how the government allocates aid. Empowering citizens to support well-run, impactful nonprofits while holding larger institutions accountable could bridge the gap between compassion and fiscal responsibility.

Because at the end of the day, it’s about making every dollar count—for everyone. :blue_heart:
