I’m sorry,@ Erikguvna, I didn’t mean you’d diverged from the topic, I was only reiterating the gist of the original point of the thread, bemused I guess, that such a mild request has stimulated so much upset in the thread in general… it was meant rhetorically, I guess, and not at you personally. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
As for evolutionary biologists … even if some animals have some confused behavior at some time doesn’t mean they’re gay. They aren’t born gay, always preferring same sex relations and having fabulous decorating taste. Sometimes animals will take their sexual tensions out on things other than the opposite sex… much like the dog humping the sofa or the cat or the other dog of the same sex, whatever. It doesn’t make them furniture attracted, or cross species attracted, or gay. They’re seeking gratification and they don’t care where they get it. That’s not the same thing.
As for your next point of the urges occurring… yeah, I accept that same sex urges have occurred in humans before this point in history. People used to know not to follow the urges and now they’re encouraged to do so, and not warned of the dangers, which is a huge problem for everyone, themselves included. I do not believe it is the same percentage over time or remotely close. We’re having hormones put in the food and container plastic. We’re taught that romantic (as in sexual) relationships are the only fulfillment in life, which is a modern idea. And then bombarded with sexual stimulus everywhere you turn to the point that we’re hyper-sexualized. As for scientists said whatever, I have to admit I don’t trust their word anymore and I value my own observation of reality far more. I can see for myself every day that the much higher percentages of homosexual people and imagery is true simply comparing past with present. I’ve lived a little bit of life and things were one way and now they’re different. I can see directly that things are not as they were and therefore have not been the same throughout history because they’re already changed tremendously in my own lifespan.
As for my claim about the reality of God and Satan etc., I did actually cite a specific reference, and I attempted to give some small assistance by trying to indicate ways to observe for oneself the influences. To be fair, and not to be snarky and with all due respect, but that is more than you did in your counter argument, not that I need it. You said some un-named scientists said some things, but I’m only taking your word for it and theirs. Which I’m okay with by the way, just saying. It’s very cumbersome to try to discuss things and try to also back it all up like a college paper. If you’re trying to get me to prove God and Satan and the fight for dominion to you in a post on a chat board… well I’ve been feeling a nagging longing to somehow write all this out here in a thread of my own because this is so clear to me that it’s the foundation of issues of our world and we, humanity, are in terrible, overwhelming danger, and it’s intentional… Well, I haven’t been able to write it thus far because I can’t think of any way to begin to encapsulate it down to something anyone would have the attention span to read. I can’t figure out how to prove it or even explain it very thoroughly. I know I sure as heck didn’t used to think this, and it’s been a long, long road to understanding it, mostly gained through experiences and then only recently backed up with discovering other people already know it… which really has reenforced my belief that it’s correct, of course.
That book I cited, Dominion, by Fr Ripperger, to my understanding, is a compilation of knowledge from hundreds of years of writings and research. People knew this stuff and over the last 100 years or so, stopped teaching it, even to the clergy, disarming humanity from being able to protect themselves. But… it’s such a huge subject and I don’t know how to explain it all much less prove it, which has no bearing whatsoever on whether it’s true or not, by the way.
As for the prediction of who will become gay and who won’t, I don’t think it works exactly like that. First, I was not asserting that sexuality is controlled by demons. I was saying that they will manipulate people with urges and suggestions, which is why this artificially created culture of promoting homosexuality and trans, etc., is so dangerous. It helps to trick people into allowing themselves to be warped away from their nature and into an increasingly vulnerable state. But as for who will succumb and who won’t… that’s in the hands of God in the end. The thing is, it’s not just homosexuality that gets used to tempt people. They’ll use whatever will work, whatever will tempt a person into any kind of sin. Where is the chink in the armor of this or that individual? If a person already thinks being gay is an option and an okay thing, that just made it SO much easier to convince them that they want that. Stimulate them in that direction, get them to act on it, experience pleasure, and now they’ve built a synapse in their brain. Pleasure stimulus is said to be really powerful in brain wiring. Then the more they do it, the stronger the pathway is and pretty soon, in a society that says gayness is acceptable and an option, voila you understandably think your gay. But it doesn’t come from the person, they just fall into the trap. And that trap can be any sin, not just homosexuality, because the goal of the demons is not to make people gay, especially. It’s to divide us from the protection of God so they can have their way with us more and more and more.
But, as you ask, I suspect that thinking homosexuality is acceptable, okay, and even cool would be one predictor of a higher percentage chance of becoming gay, now that I think of it in those terms. That certainly does seem to be backed up by the percentage of school aged children who will say they’re bi gay trans furry whatever. Viewing homosexuality would increase the chances also. Monkey see, monkey do, especially with evil behind you pushing.
