People under the age of 18 can not vote therefore they should not pay income tax. No taxation without representation. Eliminate income tax until their 18ths birthday.

If the kid makes less that $13,000 in a year, they dont pay income tax. Check if you need to file a tax return | Internal Revenue Service
Ive made probably about 10k a year when i was working part time in high school and didnt have to pay income taxes.

I feel when they get the first paycheck and see the taxes it gets them thinking and asking questions. I am all for lowering the tax rate on minors, but if they don’t start paying into Social Security as soon as they start working then we are doing them a disservice. The quicker they understand the system the quicker they can start to be an ally in keeping the government in check.
