Military Covid-19 vaccine back-pay/compensation

Compensation and back-pay for military members that were either limited in service opportunities or altogether discharged because of the Covid-19 vaccine mandate. Thousands of military members were affected by the vaccine mandate in multiple ways. Many were discharged, some chose to return to the service but did not receive back-pay for their time out of the service, and others were limited in promotional opportunities that were not discharged.

I was involuntarily separated due to refusal. I wish to come back into the Air Force and serve my country. Back pay would be nice, but I much rather have my rank, I had a promotion lined up. I was out in March 2022, was going to be able to wear my rank in June.

I’m very sorry to hear that you were separated, Kayla! I’m in the Coast Guard and was blessed to not be discharged even though it seemed that I would be at any time. I was prevented from attending Officer Candidate Training, although I submitted several applications. So many people’s lives were affected by the mandate, and it would be encouraging to see reconciliation for the wrong that was done.
