Female here : hot take… females get UTI’s and yeast infections WAY too often (based on our anatomy) for these medications not to be available over the counter.
If a woman does not have health insurance she is forced to pay out of pocket (which can be hundreds of $) for a doctors visit to obtain a medication for such a COMMON infection! If untreated due to this, a UTI can lead to more serious issues such as a kidney infection. The only things available on the market are things such as cranberry pills or monistat… not actual treatments. This is a huge issue!!!
