If the government and health care agencies are really about getting healthy and maintaining health, it is high time that insurance starts covering some of these methods/surgeries. I am paying for insurance that will not even see me get healthy. I have been on several weight loss plans/solutions, but the only ones covered by insurance were amphetamines, which nearly cost me my marriage and my health due to all of the side effects. I am not suggesting insurance pay for every type of weight loss, but there are many things insurance could cover that would make sense, such as gastric bypass, weight loss programs, and safe medications.
