As a senior citizen, and also being retired, I was forced to sell my home that I lived in for 30 years because the taxes were just too high to pay with only my Social Security. Most senior citizens that are retired or left in this situation. I did not want to move away from my family, but the taxes were $10,000 and I would not be able to survive paying that amount of taxes on my house. I’m proposing that if you are a senior citizen and are retired, you should be able to stay in your home that you’ve lived in most of your life. We should not have to pay the high taxes that we’ve paid all of our lives. We should be able to live in our homes and not be forced to move due to the high property taxes.

This is a state issue. Your local county manages this. You need to go through your state. Contact your State Representative and State Senator.
This would indeed apply. Dont listen to those who tell you to go to state political officials because the they are the very ones who are stealing from you and dont want you to go through the court system OUTSIDE of that state and go head-to-head with them.
