Limit the control insurance companies have over what the doctor believes is necessary for the patient. I’ve had to jump through hoops to get insurance to pay for certain treatments and medications that were NOT controlled substances. Prior authorizations should only be necessary with dangerous medications and controlled substances.

Agreed except in the case of NPs and PAs because they lack sufficient training and expertise
