Doctors should be able to prescribe the drugs they feel would best work for their patients without having to fight the insurance companies on whether or not the patient really needs it. They shouldn’t have the right to deny coverage for a needed medication and make the pre-approval policy so rigorous. The doctor has a relationship with the patient and knows what’s best, and the insurance company doesn’t.
