I’ve been in real estate for the last 10 years and I find it shocking that there’s no incentives for developers or builders to build more properties. The housing shortage is one of the biggest issues we have in America and I believe some type of tax cut or government backed loan for developers with lower interest rates or something of that nature, would greatly motivate them to build more. I believe house flippers that are buying run down properties for $30,000, fully remodeling them to re-sell, greatly increases their value, should also have some type of an incentive. The days of being punished for investing in our communities and making them more desirable needs to be a thing of the past.
