Need to fund studies on hormone therapy for women in perimenopause; controlled 10 year study of women taking hormone therapy during this period and those not to show outcomes of their health post-menopause. And not just vasometer symptoms but the hundreds of other symptoms that occur during perimenopause and more importantly post (ie; cardiovascular health, osteoporosis…….).

I had a family member get breast cancer that was directly related to hormone therapy for menopause. We need more research on women’s health. I (among so many girls my age) were put on birth control as young teens without any further investigation of our symptoms and not much research on long term use of birth control and the affects it can have. We need more solutions and less bandaids.
