Healthy school meals program

I believe it’s time to return to the practice of having school lunch and breakfast menus created by professional dieticians and prepared from scratch on-site at schools. These meals should also be provided to students at no cost. By doing so, we can ensure that children receive a balanced diet, learn about proper portions, and eat more fruits and vegetables. This approach would also encourage them to try new foods and develop healthier habits.

This was the norm for previous generations of American children before the rise of the current epidemic of childhood obesity and diet-related illnesses. Investing in these meals is an investment in the health, well-being, and future success of our students. It’s time to prioritize nourishing young minds and bodies with real, wholesome food.
