Handicap parking allowances are given far too easily. Many conditions that are not debilitating or self induced do NOT warrant a handicap placard nor plates. Far too often every handicap parking space is taken. The person who exits the vehicle is using the placard can/does walk with ease, is extremely obese, or is simply old. Meanwhile an elder person who needs a wheelchair, walker, oxygen, etc can’t find parking near the entry point because there are none available. I apologize if this sounds harsh but simply stated if you way over 300 pounds you should walk from the back of the lot. These self induced diseases/conditions should not warrant a placard nor plate.
