Since its inception DOE has cause you younger generation over time to get less intelligent. And in past 5 to 10 years we’ve held back federal fund unless they comply with all kinds of craziness i.e. boy identify as girls so they use the girls bathroom.

My children did much better in a homeschool atmosphere. No one should have to go through the public school system.

The Constitution does not authorize the federal government power to regulate education. This is a State matter.

And, wouldn’t it be fantastic if Parents were the leading decision makers, along with student choice, in educating their children. I say get rid of the Department of Education. I’ll take it one step more. Get rid of education “Administrators” who engage in nothing but bureaucracy. Put Parents in charge of their children’s learning instead. There is much less bureaucracy in the Home Schooling environment as Parents are the ones in control. There is a new Quantum Education System curriculum coming out based on the new ideas of Quantum which totally takes out nefarious, propaganda filled, busy work that students have to go through in order to graduate. I would like to see this new curriculum put in the hands of Parents and their students for implementation and leave out the middlemen.

Get rid of Department of Education( AKA Department of Indoctrination) and introduce a voucher plan. The voucher could be used for private, public, charter, parochial or home schooling. The parents will have the choice of their kid’s schooling, and would be more involved in the education of their kids.
Great idea, however, these are all State matters and should be dealt with it at that level.
Hi, Mark! I’ve been a teacher for over 20 years in three different States, in multiple School Districts. Do you believe that States can run Education any better than the Federal Government? I assure you, they can’t and don’t. It is just more bureaucracy. My thinking is to privatize education by putting it into the hands of Parents and students who can access a universal system of knowledge with the support and creation of learning communities funded by Humanitarian funds and created by and for Parents. Provide the Quantum Education System, online, as the basis for learning, which is the most advanced learning we have- will soon have, and allow Parents and Students to take that learning “offline” in a series of chosen experiences. Allow the People in States to decide if they want their inefficient State Government to continue to provide lackluster educational opportunities or allow a system to develop where Parents are in control of accessing the system when and how they choose, preferences and choices of students considered, to provide many creative opportunities for learning supported by innovative programs to assist learning in numerous ways.
