Upending Healthcare System

Here is a draft policy proposal for reforming America’s health care system:

Policy Proposal for Reforming America’s Health Care System

Objective: To establish an affordable, patient-centered health care system that prioritizes holistic health, wellness education, and patient empowerment, while reducing reliance on pharmaceutical interventions and removing mandated immunization requirements.

Key Principles of the Reform

1.	Affordability and Accessibility
2.	Holistic Health and Preventive Care
3.	Patient Education and Empowerment
4.	Reduction of Pharmaceutical Influence
5.	Informed Medical Autonomy

Actionable Steps for Reform

  1. Dismantle and Reform Pharmaceutical Industry Influence

    • Legislation to Limit Pharmaceutical Lobbying: Enact laws to reduce the influence of pharmaceutical companies on health care policy and medical education.
    • Independent Research Initiatives: Establish government-funded, non-profit research institutions dedicated to unbiased studies on health treatments, prioritizing patient outcomes over profits.
    • Price Control and Transparency: Implement strict regulations on drug pricing and require full transparency about drug development costs and profit margins.

  2. Incorporate Holistic and Integrative Approaches

    • Expand Covered Treatments: Mandate insurance coverage for proven holistic and integrative health practices such as acupuncture, herbal medicines & whole food supplements, chiropractic care, frequency use & Rife machines, updated nutrition & exercise counseling, as well as yoga, heat, ice, light, oxygen, and massage therapies, among others.
    • Holistic Health Centers: Develop community health centers that offer access to a wide range of holistic services, staffed by practitioners trained in both conventional and alternative medicine.
    • Research Funding: Allocate federal research funds to study the efficacy of holistic remedies and make findings publicly available.

  3. Eliminate Mandatory Immunization Requirements

    • Informed Consent Legislation: Remove mandates for immunization, allowing individuals to make their own health decisions based on informed consent and thorough education on the risks and benefits.
    • Vaccine Safety and Transparency: Establish an independent board to review and communicate vaccine safety data transparently to the public, free from pharmaceutical industry influence.

  4. Promote Preventive and Lifestyle Medicine

    • Preventive Health Incentives: Provide financial incentives for preventive health practices, such as discounts on health insurance for participation in wellness programs that do not require and subsequently sell or use an individual’s biometric data. True, substantial discounts are given for regular use of incentives and outcomes in improved health.
    • Community Health Programs: Invest in programs that offer accessible education on nutrition, exercise, mental health, and stress management.
    • School Health Education: Integrate comprehensive health education into school curricula, focusing on lifelong wellness, nutrition, and the impact of lifestyle choices.

  5. Educate and Empower Patients

    • Personalized Health Plans: Require providers to create individualized health plans that emphasize preventive care and empower patients to take charge of their well-being.
    • Public Health Campaigns: Launch nationwide campaigns to raise awareness about the benefits of holistic health practices and simple steps to improve overall well-being.
    • Health Coaching and Support: Fund health coaching programs to guide patients through their health journey, focusing on sustainable lifestyle changes.
    • Educate and publicly advertise the history of pharmaceutical use’s statistics including adverse side effects within the last 75 years per pharmaceutical in an accessible, public database as well as the historicity of the Rockefeller take-over of public health care for a wholistic education approach.

  6. Revise Health Professional Training

    • Integrative Medical Education: Reform medical school curricula to include comprehensive training in holistic and preventive care, nutrition, and the connection between mind and body.
    • Continued Education: Mandate continued education for health care professionals in evidence-based alternative medicine and lifestyle management.

  7. Implement Accountability and Feedback Mechanisms

    • Healthcare Oversight Committee: Form an independent oversight committee to evaluate the success of holistic approaches and ensure health care practices are evidence-based and patient-centered.
    • Patient Satisfaction Surveys: Collect and act on patient feedback to continually improve the health care system.

Conclusion: This health care reform prioritizes the well-being of individuals by offering a diverse range of health care options, reducing dependency on pharmaceuticals, and empowering people to take control of their health through truthful and proper education and genuine preventive measures.

I’d like to consolidate this proposal into an even more comprehensive overhaul of policy in relation to the pharmaceutical industry and its undue influence in the sectors of health, public policy, media, big tech, etc. writ large.

I’m currently drafting a policy aimed at curbing what I’ve termed “pestilence profiteering”. This initiative seeks to address and mitigate the excesses committed by the pharmaceutical industry, which I see as not just influencing healthcare but also public policy, media, and technology sectors, among other things. My approach is to promote a common-sense framework that:

  1. Reign in Pharmaceutical Influence: Address how the industry has shaped health policies, often prioritizing profit over public health.

  2. Combat Corporatocracy: Develop policies that ensure corporate interests do not override the welfare of individuals, linking to my proposal for a Separation of Corporatocracy and State.

Given the events of the past four years, it’s clear that there’s a need for a robust discussion on how the pharmaceutical industry operates. The current model leans far more heavily towards “sick care” rather than preventive or curative healthcare, which fundamentally contradicts the medical oath to “do no harm”.

I propose we integrate these ideas to form a more holistic policy approach, while also addressing a number of other elements related to both the pharmaceutical industry as it relates to profiteering and their collusion with the insurance industry, and in the systems of governance.

What are your thoughts on exploring these dimensions further @CDT ? I’m open to collaboration and can share with you my draft on Google Docs before I submit it here in Policies for the People.

I like all of this except creating another government funded program. • Independent Research Initiatives: Establish government-funded, non-profit research institutions dedicated to unbiased studies on health treatments, prioritizing patient outcomes over profits.
We need to use resources we already have or take from another department that is going to get dismantled so as to not drive up cost.

Please bear in mind that we have no universal definition of Holism. Please see my 2-part “proposal to shift all of health care to adopt the holistic paradigm.” You are also excluding natural-born healers and therapists from your repertoire. They could teach all of us so much, just BECAUSE they were not indoctrinated by medical training and conventional science. We must begin to view the world holistically and learn to think in holistic terms, before we can treat someone holistically.

Sorry, just seeing responses! I am very open to seeing a proposed consolidation!
There are so many facets to the discussion of upending what we currently have & I’m just thankful there are so many who are thinking about it!

I like this and agree. Happy to edit that. Just have limited bandwidth currently

I admit, I’ve only just begun to learn more in the holistic arena these past 4 years! Still slowly learning. I will look for your 2-part sometime this weekend hopefully. Thanks!
