How is that being done? I assume it will not be by Elon. Desantis is having this done by someone? Lucky you in FL. So many states like mine are run by Dems and RINOs who were installed. It’s the same with the BOCC (Board of County Commissioners) taxing us out of our homes at 10+% a year the last 5 years.

You got it. They ALWAYS hurry in and form a comittee/team/working group to investigate themselves in order to hide the crime and bury the evidence with a verdict of pure misdirection and fabrication. They do this to beat the American People from forming their own investigation teams, so that we can say, “We already have a team working on it. It is a waste of money to have two teams doing the same investigations.” This crappy tactic is as old as Roman Politics itself - the ole "Fox investigating the hen house for missing eggs and chickens’ routine. America sees right through it these days. It’s played out. We should start looking at the invidivuals that immediately scramble to call for these “suppsedly neutral and bipartisan” investigations (you know the kind - the ones that seem to melodramatically protestith too much in front of every available camera) – I mean REALLY look at them (say, 20 years of wealth accumulation history) - that should do it.

DOGE is an Expensive farce! While is sounds good, just walking in doing wholesale cuts and then hiring back the critical positions, AND since it is in LAW and BUDGET, the next administration can bring it all back, costing more money in the long run. All this performative theatrics hides where the real issue, it is Congress failing to do their constitutional duty of managing a balanced budget and proving separation of powers. Your anger is misplaced. Focus on voting for real and rational people not the loudest voice in the room. Vote for the person with real ideas, not the one just blaming the problem on other people. STOP being conned.
Governor DeSantis is essentially assembling his own team in Florida, using the model that Elon and team are using. There’s no Federal involvement.
Unfortunately, the Democrat run states will never do such a thing, and I feel for anybody stuck in those corrupt disasters.

It is also not a “farce” as you claim…it is very real, showing very real results daily that are advantageous to the American taxpayer. Apparently, you don’t know where to look, so I will help you out: see – [doge.gov] and you find nothing “farcical” about it.

In rare cases where the fraud and corruption is both rampant and also a key infrastructure component to massive pilfering and pillaging (like USAID), it is rolled under another dept so that it can be brought under heel, the corruption weeded out, and the fiscal blood-letting to be stopped.

The focus remains on the successful investigation of all depts and agencies in the search for existing non-transparent infrastructure, payment systems, and money flows that constitute fraud, waste, and corruption… Talking about Congress not being able to balance a budget (which the American People already know and have seen for nearly a decade now) does not advance the current efforts at hand.

I totally agree with Susan. The Counties definitely need to have a Doge cleanup. There is so much waste that we the people did not get to vote on. The small town judges and appointees just get a grant from the government and spend, spend, spend. Also, there is no audit of all the grant money given to these small towns.
It’s time to clean out the entire Country!

Absolutely no federal funds going to blue states that want to operate like irresponsible teenagers demanding their allowance + emergency relief when reach calamity, meanwhile stealing elections and abusing the people of their states.
There should be basic qualifications for receiving federal funds, and voter ID in all elections should be the first among them. Otherwise, fuck 'em.

Hey let’s turn every major intersection into a $1,000,000 + roundabout! Backed by an expensive safety study of course that deems it necessary, and give the contracts to our buddies!
And then go into disaster areas, and buy up and condemn property to gentrify with public and affordable housing projects, and government building superstructures, medical treatment facilities, or maybe casino’s, because THAT’S WHAT AMERICA NEEDS MOST RIGHT NOW MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE.
And of course give the contracts to our buddies.

I respectfully disagree. While states have their own programs, history has shown that neither the states nor the federal government have effectively managed spending or held themselves accountable. We trusted them to budget responsibly, yet the national debt has skyrocketed to $37 trillion. Audits have been neglected or outright ignored, allowing reckless spending to continue unchecked.
Leaving it up to the states to root out their own corruption is like asking a corrupt department to audit itself—it simply doesn’t make sense. An independent body like D.O.G.E. is necessary to ensure real accountability and transparency, rather than relying on the very entities that contributed to the problem in the first place."*

Also D.O.G.E has incredible AI software that can find corruption, wasteful spending and payments sent to dead people, ex employees, etc.
And they suggest ways to cut spending . Or give the information to the president and Congress to decide what to do .
If it’s a corrupt institution the president or Congress will decide to shut it down.
I think it’s important to have an agency other than the government to do these audits. Or nothing will ever change.

I think they are taking that into account, as am I, even though we are bringing it to the forefront in this forum. I think they mean to replicate the current audit methodology/approach at the state level vs. incorporating the state audits into the current appointed DOGE scope. No harm in discussion.

Here in AZ, the legislature voted it down by both parties which reveals that they are all dirty. We have an almost 50-50 split in the legislature in a bright red state. The fraud is very obvious and yet the republicans back the fraud. They ignore the state constitution and allow unelected people into office.

First time ever in my life moves are being made to stop waste & fraud and drian the swamp, and you’re all like CMON GUYS there is no waste, fraud or swamp, also we should NOT stop the fraud, waste, or drain the swamp…
