Or maybe not end it all together, as there may be legitimate cases where it is necessary. However, absolutely end blindly mailing votes to people unprompted.
Election day never sneaks up on anyone. We know when it will be long before the day comes. So if you know you will need to do absentee or mail-in voting, you must request it in person with verified ID at whatever location is chosen (post office, DMV, etc). And this must be done and postmarked one week before elction day, so votes can’t continue to be found days after.
