Those reading this that have proposed a similar Tax Elimination Policy:
Please consider merging your Policy Proposal with this policy as I think we accomplish more when we combine our efforts behind a singular and cohesive message. My hunch is that we, when we combine efforts increase the potency of our proposal so that this achieves a heightened level of awareness and becomes an item that is ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY!
When one considers what the newly formed DOGE Department of Government Efficiency has already uncovered (tip of the wasteful spending iceberg).
The waste is both the spending and the salaries of these UNELELECTED career bureaucrats that DO NOT ACT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE WILL OF WE THE PEOPLE.
When you eliminate the waste, and reduce the size of these agencies or eliminate them altogether and revert responsibility back to local state governments we would have more than enough to fund government and eliminate all personal taxes (Income, Property and the countless other taxes that represent a “death of one thousand cuts”.
#1 Fair Tax and other similar plans will fail because they do not deal with the root cause of the tax problem in the United States. All plans like these are subject to Administrative change. The only way to prevent this is to Amend Our US. Constitution. Repeal of Amendment 16 would take us back to pre 1913 and no direct taxation. Thus restoring Constitutional Protection from direct taxation like income and property tax as well as other unequal direct taxes.
To give a guestimate and answering your concern as to money needed for government receipts:
In 2023, the United States’ gross domestic product (GDP) was $27.36 trillion, which was an increase of 6.3% from 2022.
In fiscal year 2023, the United States federal budget was $6.1 trillion in spending and $4.4 trillion in revenue, resulting in a deficit of $1.7 trillion:
2023 GDP $27.36 trillion
Assume a tax of 25%
27.36 * .25 = 6.84 trillion which is more than 2023 receipts. Including a reasonable cut in government spending and needed funding should be no issue while giving a substantial tax cut to most Citizens. Currently I pay in excess of 65% in taxes and work for a living.
The bottom line is that our entire government structure needs to be reduced as both Elon and Julian Assange have theorized by as much as 95% that means both the wasteful spending, the funding of their money laundering schemes abroad, funding unjustified wars and all of the other non-essential spending that WE THE PEOPLE DIDNT VOTE FOR.
When you cut the labor cost associated with these career bureaucrats that have done nothing or WE THE PEOPLE and have only enriched themselves immensely over the years with a host of illegal and elicit activities such as insider trading, lobbying and many other self-enrichment schemes it is no wonder that we are in the debt scenario that we are in.
We need sound monetary policy
Asset backed currency (not debt currency that is worthless)
We need fiscal transparency and accountability
We need extreme justice for anyone that accepts anything from the corporate lobby (lobbying should be illegal).
Anyone following the recent PENTAGON AUDIT disaster or the recent revelations as identified by DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) see just how corrupt this entire system is. Our founders warned us about such threats as did Roosevelt, JFK, Regan and TRUMP.
Time for EXTREME CUTS and SWIFT JUSTICE for those that have criminally benefitted from this corrupt structure.
Amen, Repeal Amendment 16, force a restructure of the tax system this will force a restructure of the entire Federal Government. Let the government bureaucrats deal with what they have forced on the Citizenry since 1913. Work under budget constraints!
I checked this morning as to the last time there was a (real) balanced Federal Budget Andrew Jackson was President the year was 1835 Our Federal Debt was $0.00 surplus was 17.9 million US. Dollars. Note: these were real gold standard numbers. Not the fake script used today!
Please communicate the following to Mr. President Trump . He may get confirmation on the plan from his economic advisors.
No Taxes, No Tariffs.
Phase 1: 25% income tax for 10 years as a transition: only after a $1,000,000 net income deductible for individuals, after a $5,000,000 net income deductible for corporations.
No tariffs instead we ban trade with Asia, ME, and Africa to protect our companies’ profits, product and service quality and competitiveness.
No tax shelters and money earned in the US must stay in the US unless you have dual citizenship.
Phase 2 (after 10 years of phase 1) : no income tax, tax income to be replaced by government owned new industries’ net income.
Phase 3 eliminate all taxes except sales tax. Sales tax should be 10%, of course, funding the counties.
That is basically what happened in 1913 to justify Amendment 16. It was sold to the Citizens as a tax that would only be applied to the top 2% wealthiest. You can see what it has become. Citizens should have never agreed to a Direct tax they are devastating to Citizens and allow out of control government. We must Repeal Amendment 16. Have a Blessed Day Fred Walker
Please read the proposed POLICY as proposed as there is a deliberate reason for how it was written and what specifically is being proposed which is a collective contribution from many on this platform and this comment thread especially Fred Walker - He is spot on with his recommendations which I have incorporated exactly as he has communicated. We all want the same thing that you do, we just need to revoke this fraudulent (unconstitutional) taxation authority that was imposed on We the People of the Republic for the United States of America.
Fred as well as many other contributors (commentators) have laid out the exact justification for why this policy was written just as it was. In particular Fred Walker nailed the problem with allowing the government to levy a tax against We the People. Give them an inch and they will take a mile, waste the money given. One does not have to look very far to see how much money has been given to wasteful spending, never ending wars and on and on and on.
DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) has barely scraped the surface and look at the waste and total incompetence of our “elected” and UNELECTED Bureaucrats that believe they know what do with our hard-earned tax dollars than we do in our local communities.
Thank you for taking the time to get involved and provide your commentary we all want the same outcome that you do.
Thank you for your kind words. I agree it seems most Citizens would like to make major changes in Our tyrannical tax systems be them State or Federal.
That said the common denominator is Amendment 16. Few understand the Powers granted to government in this Amendment. It is one of two Amendments that took power and control away from the Citizenry and gave it to the Governments. Amendment 16 is the root cause of all of Our current out of control taxation programs. When you read Amendment 16 and take it apart you realize the authors of Amendment 16 knew exactly how to pervert the tax system against the Citizenry. It allows government to define what is income, what is taxable and releases government from the equality mandate. In short it is the equivalent of a blank check. No one in their right mind would have given such control to any government. It was sold to the Citizens of 1913 as a tax on the richest 2% of Citizens and Corporations. As you can see today what started out as a Flat Tax on the richest Citizens was soon manipulated to do just the opposite of it original defined purposes.
Before 1913 and Amendment 16 Government tried several attempts at unequal direct taxation. They were all struck down by the Courts as unconstitutional. When the Citizenry were fooled into falling for the “tax the rich” theme that has been used to divide and concur us ever since We have suffered government tyranny by taxation. We must end “Direct Taxation” in the United States of America. This requires Repeal of Amendment 16.
Understanding the history behind Amendment 16 and the mood of the Citizenry in 1913 you soon understand that We must Repeal Amendment 16 to have any real lasting tax reform in Our Nation. I Pray we will soon have the resources to educate Our fellow Citizens to this truth. Again I thank you for your kind words, Respectfully Fred Walker
our “elected/selected” politicians traded tariffs for a direct tax against we the people. They wanted to win favor with foreign countries / leaders, pad their pockets (the club) and penalize those that they “claim” to represent.
Sensible tariffs / Strategic tariffs to protect American industry / livelihood / wealth / sovereignty.
Bottomline - Our “leaders” sold the people of America for their money laundering, corporate lobbying special interest / self interest.
98% of them and the downlines of administrate state bureaucracy needs to be demolished. There are so many on the “government take or administrative states take” the corruption runs DEEP thus the DEEPSTATE label it fits perfectly for what we the people are up against. It has permeated all levels of life…
Thanks for your positive conclusions. Yes we all have the same goals. The primary of which is ending tyrannical taxation. I welcome any elected officials who are willing to put forth this Constitutional Amendment. Many talk about correcting or repair modifying Our tyrannical failure of a tax system. Notice none ever promote or put forth an Amendment Proposal. Why? Because they know that will end their ability to manipulate Our Citizenry and continue to use government mandated theft dressed as taxation. This theft will only end when We the People demand and secure a Constutuional Amendment ending Direct Taxation!
Please, please encourage everyone on this platform to vote for this Amendment Proposal. Link this Proposal to your X, gab, Facebook and other accounts. We can end this tyranny but only with your help and participation. God Bless & Happy New Year, Fred Walker
Personally I think the Pentagon has enough money to pay off the debt. Simply reallocating a portion of military budget to things like education, infrastructure and cleaning up toxins from corporate waste would be ideal.
Well Fred, it looks like Mr. Trump is helping us out, and you might get half of your policy knocked out (Dumping Income Tax) very soon! And people fight tooth and nail against having “Orange Man” eliminate their income taxes??? These NeverTrumpers need medication for their TDS, I gather.
Any relief is a positive. That said the next administration can change everything He promotes. We need a Constitutional Amendment. That is the only way to protect current Citizens and Our Children and Grandchildren.
Encourage everyone you can to call for this Amendment. Thanks for your response and have a Blessed Day, Fred Walker
A Look at the U.S. Dollar: Gold Standard vs. Fiat Currency
Here’s a nuanced fact-check and correction to the points raised:
Gold Standard Era (Pre-1971):
Correct: The U.S. dollar was indeed backed by gold under the gold standard, allowing for conversion to gold at a fixed rate. This system restrained the government’s ability to increase the money supply, which typically helped maintain low inflation rates.
Clarification: The official price of gold was set at $35 per ounce under the Bretton Woods system until 1971. However, this was for official transactions; the market price could differ due to international trade and speculative activities.
Transition to Fiat Currency (Post-1971):
Correct: President Nixon ended the convertibility of the U.S. dollar into gold in 1971, effectively transitioning the U.S. to a fiat monetary system where the dollar’s value is based on government trust and economic performance, not a physical asset.
Update: As of January 2025, the price of gold has fluctuated, but specific current figures would be needed for accuracy. The last noted price here from 2023 was over $1,900 per ounce, which is illustrative but not current.
Comparative Value:
Gold Price Change: Correct in stating a significant increase, but the exact percentage devaluation should be calculated using current gold prices. The increase from $35 to over $1,900 by 2023 represents a 5,314% increase if using 2023 data, but with updated prices, this could vary.
Percent Devaluation: The calculation of 5,314% is based on the change from $35 to $1,900, which is correct for the endpoint in 2023. However, this figure would need updating to reflect current gold prices for accuracy.
Inflation Adjustment: The statement that $1 in 1971 equates to $6.80 today is roughly correct based on cumulative inflation rates up to around 2024. However, exact figures would depend on the specific inflation calculator used and the precise year for comparison.
Conclusion:
The transition from the gold standard to a fiat system has indeed allowed for more flexibility in monetary policy but has also introduced challenges like inflation management and currency stability. The choice between the two systems involves trade-offs in economic control and stability:
Gold Standard provided stability but limited economic growth due to the fixed gold supply.
Fiat Currency offers more control over economic variables at the cost of potential inflation if not managed well.
The discussion on which system is better remains open to debate, influenced by current economic conditions, global trade dynamics, and national monetary policies.
Your thoughts on this evolution are valuable; how do you see the balance between stability and flexibility in today’s economic environment?
