Election Transparancy

Currently, there is no way for any US voter to verify how their vote counted.
I propose a simple, common sense solution that will help restore election integrity:
Upon casting your ballot, your voting location would be required to print a receipt and give it to you. On that receipt will be a ballot number. Local city and township clerks will be required to post “Vote Tabs” which include a spreadsheet showing all of the candidates and proposals for each precinct and a column with a ballot number - in real time. Any citizen can then look up their ballot number to see how it counted. The sum of all counts will be totaled at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
Should you find that your ballot was not counted in the way you had voted - you have a period of 7 days after the results are posted to appeal the clerks’ count of your ballot, and they will have 5 days to retrieve your paper ballot to determine if it was counted correctly. You have the right to be present for the determination and viewing of your ballot.
There is currently a fear amongst many Americans’ that they just aren’t sure if their ballot was casted correctly. This will restore confidence in that area of concern.
