If anyone is in DC and is passionate about animal rights, I’m planning on making some signage, grabbing a megaphone and making a scene to draw attention to animal testing, specifically attention from DOGE. My main goal is to convince them to prioritize auditing any department responsible for animal testing. Besides the ethical concerns, exposing this disturbing practice will be politically advantageous to MAHA and MAGA: make the opposition either defend something the average person finds abhorrent or make them admit DOGE can be used for good. If the public at large is exposed to and able to grasp the scale and horrors of animal testing, their distrust of the bureaucracy will turn into disgust and rage, allowing for a much smoother demolition by the Trump Administration. My plan is to hold the demonstration near the DOGE HQ (Eisenhower Building) and march to USDA HQ. If there are other planned protests over DOGE going on that day, then I think it would be smart to piggyback off their crowd. I’m open to all thoughts and suggestions as well as promotions as this plan becomes more concrete. In the age of social media, a small band of happy warriors can grow into a formidable army.
