A simple examination of our economy makes very clear that Americans are being taxed to death. Everywhere you turn is a tax. Income that might have been taxed in one state is able to be taxed again in another state depending upon that State’s taxation laws. Some taxes such as property tax actually eliminates true property ownership in that after the land, house etc. us fully paid off, if you do not keep paying the taxes the government is able to take that property from you. There is never actual ownership. You are always ‘renting’ it from the government. The Boston Tea Party was over a 3% tax while, today, overall taxes would probably range in the 30-50% range over income. Everything except food and services are taxed. Additionally, can anyone actually tell the American citizen where his tax money goes? We are forced to pay money to the government, with no say nor information as to the use of that money, no apparent legal precept for the taxes. We, as Americans, have been fleeced by our government for too many years and seen solely as a piggy bank for a select few. Enough is enough!

I agree. Taxation in the USA is out of control. The only one who benefits is the government. This is not what the Founding Fathers had in mind. We are so far off from the founding principles of this united states. It got out of control because We The People stopped being involved. We The People for too long had no idea what the Federal government was doing. It got to the point that We The People thought it was Government for the Government by the Government and we are just pawns. It is time to get out of the mindset. We The People have the power.
