Debt and Aid

The government should cease to utilize the commerce clause to regulate firearms, as this regulation is not explicitly in the Constitution and is therefore left to the states. The states should however under the full faith and credit clause, be required to recognize the firearms licenses of non-residents for the purpose of traveling through a state. Currently, a person driving from Maine to Florida must keep their firearm locked in their trunk, thus rendering the unable to defend themselves, their families and their property while crossing the country. A now very dangerous country, with 20 million foreigners of unknown backgrounds and histories wandering our streets.
