Create a weekly conversation focused on important topics.
This conversation will occur between a host and the public directly using something called aggregate response communication (ARC). Questions can be put directly to large audiences whose aggregate response is shown to everyone at the end of a short time period (up to the host).
The goal is to inform the public, illustrate different viewpoints, and finally, FINALLY, give the public a visible voice.
Using this method, a regularly re-occurring conversation on various topics can happen weekly. Entirely transparent and reviewable to everyone.
The hosts for “The Conversation” can be chosen carefully, and with an effort to explore a variety of perspectives. One or two hosts might conduct the conversation, but the focus should be with conversing directly to the participants who gather for the event.
Entirely online.
No travel required.
In the evening, on a weekday – scheduled in advance.
I feel that these could be an important way for the public to feel heard and go a long way to creating the kind of world we all want to see.
I’m a software engineer. I have a prototype (nearly there). The tech isn’t the issue. It’s bringing the right hosts, and the enthusiasm of a large participant group that will make this matter.
These interactive events can be fun, informative and probably therapeutic!
