Presently, Congress and the executive branch has exclusive and comprehensive healthcare benefits while they throw onto the American citizens an inferior healthcare solution known as the Affordable Healthcare Act, a.k.a. Obama care.
Congress should not have benefits different from the American people. They should not be treated like entitled individuals and live in the lap of luxury as they throw the crumbs onto the American people.
Congress needs to be stripped of their current healthcare, benefits and put on Obamacare Until a better healthcare solution is provided for the American people. Moving forward, Congress should have the same healthcare benefits as the American people. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The American people will never get fair & better healthcare benefits when Congress does not feel the pain that the American people feel. Let them experience Obamacare for one day and they’ll come up with a comprehensive healthcare plan for American citizens that works.
The current structure of our government is Congress gets superior benefits, pay and privileges that the American people are deprived of. The founders of this great country intended Congress To represent WE THE PEOPLE not to engorge their own lives and bank accounts at our expense.
Great idea but my question is how to accomplish as we don’t (thankfully) have a social medicine healthcare setup like some other countries. Given this lack, how do we fo this?
This is a good start to solving our healthcare problem in this country, but there is much more that we need as well.
Please consider reviewing my thoughts on a simple yet comprehensive overall change to our healthcare system in the US. It’s titled “the elephant in the room”. The easiest way to find it is to search for “elephant” in the title.
I’d love to hear your comments. If “we the people” are going to change anything “we” must become “us”. We must connect as a group, reach a concensus, make a plan, then launch a healthcare revolution!
Thanks for posting your ideas. I look forward to your comments and suggestion on my post.
If Congress and executive branches all had the same insurance we did, bet they would be voting differently. And the Gaul to vote on a raise for themselves, was not right when they manipulate the numbers for as little social security retirement benefits as possible for seniors. All the while health care insurance premiums eat up a good portion of any raise given.
I agree also they need to be inundated, with all these medical plan companies, flooding them with all these different plans, every year I receive calls, mail to look over there plans, it as well Doctor’s and hospital, are always having dispute on the plans, they end up cancelling, which forces us to either change plans or doctor’s and or hospitals, this is so nerve-wracking every single year. They need to come up with plans that everyone can agree on and stay with for years.
I agree 100 %. The way our government is currently operating is why our forefathers came to this country and started a revolutionary new system of governance. We need to roll back to the way it was designed to operate.
I absolutely agree with this! We are struggling! We cannot afford our care, and we are suffering, people are filing bankruptcy due to medical bills, health insurance companies are running amok, we need healthcare reform so badly. Congress should have to live just like the rest of us, it is only fair.
I agree that congress should not have exclusive health care.
I also believe that congress should be the beta test for every law they enact, and their sons should be the first to be drafted, should we reinstate it.
