After perusing some of the other policies people have been proposing, this makes Convention of States all the more important and more relevant. Especially the main goals:
I. Term Limits
II. Imposition of fiscal restraints on the federal government
III. Imposition of Scope, Power and Jurisdiction Restraints on the Federal Government
This would be a great way to honor the timeless wisdom crafted and inspired by the Founders while applying it to our modern circumstances. Protect the U.S. Constitution by using the Constitution.
Prescribe harsh penalties for politicians, bureaucrats, and any government entity that oversteps the privileges granted to these persons and institutions by the Constitution.
An Article V Convention of States is not a “Constitutional Convention”! It is a mechanism designed by the Founders to enable the citizenry to propose improvements to the Constitution if the Congress fails to act.
The Convention of States is necessary to rein in decades of predictable political self aggrandizement and encroachment on our Liberty by the federal government. Supporting your State government’s assertion of power and freedom through an Article V Convention of States is your Patriotic duty. May God bless.
we need to stop sending money to other countries. and Implement a law where the budget is to be used only in America for America and Americans. No Ukraine, No Israel, No Afghanistan, no Lebanon, only the US of A. they are not America. I don’t care what anyone thinks, America/Americans First. I am fed up with that and I’m sure others are as well. one other thing, END the Lobbying that goes on in all office of Government! no More Lobbying!
Congress will never reign themselves in. Ever. A Convention of States is a long game, but it CAN work, and it is our only legal option. The states need to take back the power they gave away. State Legislators are our neighbors. They’re still accessible to We The People.
The Founding Fathers knew that the Federal Government would get out of control, drunk on it’s own power and would never fix itself so in their Divine Guided wisdom gave us the key to fixing it…,Article V Convention of States which is NOT a Constitutional Convention.
The States, each having one vote can PROPOSE amendments which must then be ratified by 3/4 of the states.
They made it difficult so it would only be used in extreme need, like we now face.
Here’s the reality…it takes at least three areas to reach the critical mass of citizen support necessary to get to a convention. There is a reason we’ve never gotten there. I’ve studied the over 400 applications, and all the movements around them. Not just me, but people like Prof. Randy Barnett. We studied and tried to figure out why no one had ever made it to convention. That…and no one had ever even really tried to build it as a grassroots movement. So that’s why we chose the approach we chose. Maybe not correct…and you could be right…but I had many wise counsel. I’m no genius, but I try to surround myself with many who are smarter and wiser. That’s how we came up with this plan. For whatever that’s worth. Thanks for your honest input.
And work to get people to sign the COS petition!
The petition is our currency with legislators.
Each time a petition is signed the state legislator for that district gets notified.
Imagine if your legislator got a few hundred notifications of their constituents spring and Article V COS! That would get their attention, wouldn’t it? Now multiply that by however many legislative districts are in your state … if all of your legislators were getting hundreds of notifications you can bet that things would change in many of these states where no one even send aware of there COS movement!
The short answer is, definitively, YES, there are both inherent and practical boundaries that limit the potential outcome of an Article V Convention of States.

It’s really pretty simple. If 15 addition states do not approve calling a convention, the our way of life will be replaced by socialism. It’s pretty damn near there now.
It is past time to reign in the Federal government. This great God-inspired country needs the Convention of States to even survive. Should we fail to convene the C of S in the next few years, we will not be able to recognize the country that we grew up in.
A Convention of States is the only peaceful, constitutional method we have to bring an out of control government back into alignment with what the founding fathers intended. I agree with COSAction.
That theory has produced the 3,000 page legal book the Constitution has been turned into at its last known printing in 2012. That doesn’t include all of the SCOTUS decisions up to 2022, which was supposed to be the next update. So that is exactly why Colonel George Mason gave us clause 2 of Article V on 15 September, to reign in the leviathan, that will never give up it’s power willingly.
Think of it this way: as designed, We The People are supposed to be the term limits. Incumbents who do not perform to our satisfaction are supposed to be replaced at the ballot boxes. But that isn’t how it’s been working the past 200+ years. We have the professional politician who, more often than not, wins unlimited re-election and puts his own interests above those of the people he is supposed to represent.
