Better Use of ACA funds

ACA (Obamacare) marketplace plans and their accompanying tax credits have enabled more people to access insurance but not necessarily better health care.

Many insurance companies, even those that are mainstream underpay doctors (based on current rates) that accept these plans and are difficult to deal with when it comes to managing the back and forth of communication with the companies.

Consequently even the “no cost” preventative services such as pap smears and bloodwork cannot be accessed because it is impossible to find a provider that accepts the insurance even if they are in network for other (non ACA) policies from that provider.

Should our country keep ACA and tax credits, I propose that we put in place legislation that requires that these plans be equal in service and payments to a similar costing policy not on the marketplace.

Currently insurance companies are taking the money the government gives them and does not providing services equivalent to other plans. This is a waste of government funds and provides an illusion that people have health care benefits that they do not.
