Ban anyone caught coming into this country illegally from being able to become a legal citizen of the United States.
I think there should be a 3, 6 and 9 year ban tier process. With several factors involved.
However, I do support that anyone that has come to the country illegally and committed a crime should never be allowed in the US again.
So coming into this country illegally is ok? It’s once a crime has been committed their being here illegally is wrong? What about the fact the people here illegally already broke our immigration laws? It’s a criminal act to cross into our border without the proper documentation.
No, it’s not OK. However, I think we have to take a multi prong approach. Not that across-the-board approach isn’t valuable in some cases. I am not and never will be for open borders. In fact, I personally have reason to be more than angry in regards to illegal immigrants because I’ve suffered personally and still am suffering because of illegal immigrants. The issue is much bigger than that and it’s not just about individual suffering. I believe there are many circumstances in which illegals should be banned from becoming a citizen of the United States. I believe that there are also circumstances that would benefit from a term ban. And when I’m using the word benefit, it is not exclusive to benefiting the immigrant.
I do think that immediate deportation of illegal immigrants should occur. With that said, I also think there should be an effective pathway, a legal pathway for illegals who have been here for a period of time working for American citizens, Individuals who have not committed any other kind of crime or violation. Individuals that have a sponsor who is an American citizen that they can prove retroactively for the time that they’ve been here . I also think that that pathway should be narrow and transparent. Not all willy-nilly Down the rabbit hole with sponsorships on top of other sponsorships and nonprofit organization sponsorships
I’ll give one example. A family with six children hired an Illegal to cook and clean and help with the children. Let’s say that individual had been there for two of those children’s birth. That individual is now part of their family. Provided that individual has not committed any crimes and that the family is willing to take on the responsibility of sponsoring them. That individual should not be banned from becoming a citizen. Most of us are not aware of what it takes to become a citizen because we were born into it. Citizenship is a process it’s necessary for the proper transition of cultures. The test for US citizenship is not an easy test many of us would not be able to pass it. That means that the individuals that go through this process are going to be individuals that we want to be part of our country and we want the people in our country to be educated and to know that they are coming to our culture. We do not want to be inundated with their culture if we wanted that we would be going to their culture. I could go on and on with this and I think we should probably take it in pieces. It’s going to take a lot of input from we the people if we can expect a system to work for we the people. Because that system has been trained against we the people and now we’re Implementing a new system created by the people for the people. We can get a better understanding of what that means by Studying the United States Constitution, myself included, of course. Our goal should not be rebuilding the tower of Babel.
I think we should do that. I think that if you came to our country illegally that you should never be given the opportunity to become an American citizen because it shows you do not Respect our laws. This would also discourage people from coming here illegally because it would mean that they could never Become a citizen, no matter what in the future.
The problem that we have is that they will argue they are here legally via the CBP app!
Exactly!
Not now! These people have basically been welcomed and rewarded to break into our country. seal up the border, then deport all here illegally. then finally pass tough laws for not comming in legally
And their offspring. If you are an American and have a kid in the UK. That child is an American citizen not an English or Scottish citizen. The same should apply here.
What if someone is in the military ? And they love there wife? will they be able to have a united family?
Absolutely agree! Look at my post concerning California case study for drawbacks.
