Companies like Stripe, Square, and PayPal profit by extracting 1-5% of every sale from small businesses in an unregulated market, making it increasingly difficult for these businesses to thrive. The reality is that we’re forced to use these platforms, with no choice but to hand over a portion of our revenue simply to process payments.
On top of that, banks are charging exorbitant fees to do business in digital form. In a world where digital transactions drive our economy, these high costs are unsustainable.
Our overhead costs have increased with these forced costs and the customer is the one that get hit the hardest. These are cost that can be taken away from business and eliminated.
In a society where digital transactions are essential, this cost burden is unsustainable and fuels inflation. It’s time to rethink a financial system that should empower businesses, not contribute to rising costs for everyone.
