Ban Artificial Food Dyes (Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 40)

Responding in regards to false advertising of healthy products not being healthy whatsoever… V8 Splash Juice for example has the following:

Additives/Toxins:

  • Sucralose (Links to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, inflammation in the digestive tract, and other metabolic disorders).
  • High Fructose Corn Syrup (Insulin resistance, obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure)
  • Natural Flavors (Basically anything goes, and companies dont have to disclose everything that makes up this chemical additive or where it comes from)
  • Red 40 (Hyperactivity, including ADHD, behavioral changes like irritability and depression, allergic reactions, hives and asthma, sneezing, watery eyes, skin irritation, migraines.) Red dye 40 also contains benzene, a known cancer-causing substance.

Marketing regulations for all unnatural, synthetic, or related needs to be reevaluated. Stop allowing these companies to market products as healthy, even from going lengths to make their food appear healthy with color/appearance additives. V8 is not food, and by the time you remove all the unhealthy aspects, the food itself has little to no nutritional value (vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, ect.) and yet we also wonder why our people suffer from massive deficiencies (aside from everyhting else).

I used the example of V8 Juice because I am an avid home juicer (in an effort to try and get my nutrients straight from the source). Through my research, I have learned that many juices lose their nutritional value the longer they are on the shelf. Shelf stable juices in stores have essentially turned into sugar water. Fresh juices from cafés or restaurants (that have been prepped to go) start to have their juices lose nutritional value after about 24 to 72 hours.

Better education is needed so our nation’s people can make the best choices for themselves, and not be led to believe curtain juices are healty and meeting their daily quota for fruits/veggies per the blasphemous food chart we have (which was changed completely from it’s first creation to meet the food industry’s requests, not focus on people’s health).

The food we eat largely belongs to a monopoly created to serve the role of putting more money in their pockets. Unfortunately our health has never been a priority to them over money, which is why 4 food companies own 80% (or more) of all food and food-related companies in the USA… not to mention all foreign food sold here is NOT required to meet certain regulations either.
