Allow Generic Drug Companies to be sued

Years ago the Supreme Court passed a law that allowed generic drug companies the privilege to not be sued, claiming the info on the drug sheet was created by the main manufacturer of the drug, so the generic companies got a free ride. Well, one drug, accutane, was pulled from the market by the original manufacturer due to it causing medical conditions (chrohn’s disease and other things). HOWEVER, the generic manufacturers were still allowed to sell this medication, and continue to sell it to this day. Thousands of people have not ended up with multiple GI illnesses, yet they have no recourse to sue the generic drug manufacturers. They knew this medication should have been banned. And when the SC said the main manufacturer produced the drug info for it, well the one in the generic package was printed AFTER the main manufacturer pulled the drug from the market, so they could have changed it, but they did not change it, nor did they mention any of the side effects/diseases these drugs could cause. This law needs to be repealed, so they can’t hide behind this BS anymore.
