Mother Nature does not check election dates and campaign calendars…she hit shortly before the election and I’m glad that Trump stepped up and the government turned a blind eye. I think it impacted results. That being said, the election is done. These people need help and the Govt isn’t even acknowledging the real death tolls. 100 dead is what you hear on the news and there are more missing people now than on 9/11. Where does the government think these people are hiding?! They aren’t! They are gone. Their families have come to that realization but the nation keeps ignoring it. It’s sad. I feel like It’s Katrina all over again and Geraldo’s having to make a stink to get rescues going on. We need to do better for the citizens of this nation! We’re footing the Bill for illegal immigrants. Why can’t we do that for Americans?!?!

NO NEED FOR SORRIES

That is also what the Law would suggest.

Creating a strong family household in America in 2024 requires a multifaceted approach that focuses on emotional connection, stability, communication, and resilience in the face of modern challenges. It involves creating a supportive environment that prioritizes family bonding, promotes open dialogue, fosters personal growth, and addresses the stressors that families commonly face today.

Here’s a guide on how to build a strong family household:

1. Foster Open and Honest Communication

  • Family Meetings: Hold regular family meetings to discuss any concerns, address issues, and celebrate achievements. These meetings provide a forum for everyone to express themselves, be heard, and feel valued.
  • Encourage Empathetic Listening: Teach family members to listen without judgment. Empathy helps to bridge generational divides and to understand each other’s unique perspectives.
  • Establish Clear Boundaries and Expectations: Setting boundaries in respectful ways—especially around issues like privacy, screen time, and household responsibilities—encourages children and teens to understand limits and expectations, building respect within the family.

2. Prioritize Quality Time Together

  • Weekly Family Activities: Set aside time each week for family-centered activities, whether it’s a game night, family dinner, or outdoor adventure. This dedicated time helps to create lasting memories and deepens family bonds.
  • Technology-Free Zones: Designate spaces or times that are free from phones, tablets, and computers to encourage family members to engage directly with one another.
  • Celebrate Traditions and Holidays Together: Create family traditions or rituals, whether big or small, that bring joy and create a sense of belonging. These can be annual trips, birthday celebrations, or weekend rituals like Sunday breakfasts.

3. Build a Culture of Support and Respect

  • Model Respectful Behavior: Show family members how to respect each other by modeling good behavior yourself. Speak kindly, show appreciation, and handle disagreements constructively.
  • Support Each Other’s Interests: Take an interest in each other’s hobbies and passions. This not only encourages personal growth but also shows mutual support and care.
  • Celebrate Individual Strengths: Recognize and celebrate each family member’s unique qualities and strengths. Doing so helps each person feel valued and strengthens self-esteem.

4. Focus on Emotional and Mental Well-Being

  • Encourage Emotional Expression: Create an environment where feelings can be openly discussed. Teach children and teens how to recognize and express emotions healthily.
  • Model Healthy Coping Mechanisms: Show children how to deal with stress and setbacks by demonstrating healthy ways to cope, such as through mindfulness practices, exercise, or talking things out.
  • Normalize Mental Health Conversations: Make mental health a regular topic of conversation in the household. Reducing stigma around seeking mental health support can empower family members to address their struggles.

5. Create a Stable Environment

  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Establish a family budget to manage finances responsibly, reduce financial stress, and ensure that needs are met. Educate children about money management in age-appropriate ways.
  • Home Organization and Routines: Keep the household organized with routines for chores, meals, and bedtimes. Predictable routines contribute to a sense of security, particularly for younger children.
  • Establish Strong Co-Parenting Practices: In families with two parents, collaboration and unity in parenting decisions provide stability. When parents can work together constructively, it models healthy relationship skills for children.

6. Encourage Responsibility and Contribution

  • Assign Age-Appropriate Chores: Give each family member responsibilities around the home to promote teamwork and instill a sense of duty. Chores also provide children with life skills and foster a sense of independence.
  • Set Achievable Goals Together: Encourage goal-setting within the family—whether it’s academic, personal, or as a group. Setting and achieving goals builds confidence and encourages a sense of accomplishment.
  • Teach Financial Literacy: Help children and teens understand the basics of saving, budgeting, and spending wisely. Teaching them about financial responsibility early on is a key life skill.

7. Embrace Flexibility and Adaptability

  • Stay Open to Change: Families face constant change, from school schedules to job demands. A strong family learns to adapt and remain supportive through transitions.
  • Encourage Problem-Solving Skills: Teach family members to approach challenges collaboratively. Whether it’s managing a schedule conflict or dealing with a crisis, working through problems together builds resilience and unity.
  • Prepare for Unexpected Events: Ensure that family members know how to handle emergencies, from medical situations to natural disasters. Having a family emergency plan can ease anxiety in times of crisis.

8. Cultivate Spiritual or Ethical Values

  • Encourage Moral and Ethical Discussions: Use everyday situations to discuss important values like honesty, kindness, responsibility, and compassion. This helps children develop a moral compass.
  • Explore Shared Beliefs or Spiritual Practices: If your family practices religion or spirituality, incorporate this into family life through shared rituals, discussions, and community involvement.
  • Support Community Engagement: Engage in volunteer activities or neighborhood initiatives to build a sense of responsibility beyond the family. This broadens perspectives and instills a sense of social responsibility.

9. Encourage Physical Health and Active Lifestyles

  • Eat Balanced Meals Together: Make family meals a time to bond and enjoy nutritious food. Cooking together can also be a fun family activity that teaches healthy habits.
  • Encourage Physical Activity: Promote regular exercise for all family members. This could be through sports, family hikes, or simple activities like walking together.
  • Prioritize Good Sleep Habits: Set a consistent bedtime routine, especially for children and teens, to ensure that everyone gets adequate rest. Good sleep is essential for mental and physical health.

10. Model and Teach Conflict Resolution

  • Teach Positive Conflict Resolution: Show children how to handle disagreements constructively, whether with siblings or friends. Teach skills like active listening, compromise, and the importance of finding a solution rather than “winning” an argument.
  • Handle Disagreements Calmly: Parents should model respectful disagreement, showing children that conflicts can be handled maturely without escalating.
  • Encourage Apologies and Forgiveness: Acknowledge when someone in the family has been hurt and encourage apologies and forgiveness. These practices help maintain harmony and build trust.

11. Foster Education and Lifelong Learning

  • Encourage Academic Pursuits: Support children’s academic endeavors by showing interest in their schoolwork, attending school events, and offering help when needed.
  • Cultivate a Love for Learning: Create an environment that encourages curiosity and lifelong learning by sharing books, watching educational shows together, and having family discussions on diverse topics.
  • Promote Personal Growth for All Family Members: Encourage family members to pursue personal goals, take classes, learn new skills, or engage in hobbies that contribute to their sense of fulfillment.

Conclusion

Creating a strong family household in 2024 centers on balancing tradition with adaptability to modern challenges. By prioritizing open communication, shared values, mutual support, and responsibility, families can foster an environment that nurtures resilience, emotional well-being, and unity. It’s about building a foundation that can adapt and remain strong amid a rapidly changing world, ensuring each family member feels secure, valued, and empowered.

Please require Ukraine to turn over ALL documents, audits, bank accounts, purchases, allocations and recipients of American’s tax funds. Zelinsky needs to identify all of his purchases, who he made promises to, which amount of funds were returned to politicians in any form. All documentation of American military support in any form, by any company with the dates and inventory received and where used or stored and how much of it is left in Ukraine.

No further support considered until after this is received to be reviewed by Representative Victoria Sparz.

In response to:
“10 Principles for Great Schools: Redefine American education by emphasizing reading, math, and critical thinking; eliminate divisive ideologies, and empower parents.”

I know people like to use the term critical thinking but words matter, we need to change this label to logical thinking.

We need logic taught to children in schools. It teaches children how to think. In regard to education in general, we need to shift to a classical style education system.

Housing for any homeless who are addicted has been enabling, not helping; Housing First, for example. Instead, housing needs to be treatment mandated for addictions, and a plan for homeless people to become self-sufficient, productive people to the extent possible. Mental health issues need to be treated; any refusing shelters should not be allowed to live in public places wherever they want; they need to be in legalized camping with lighting and security guards to prevent predatory behavior, with garbage cleanup & showers available. Veterans likely need special extra treatment to help them adjust. Too many resources are blindly given out to young, able-bodied singles and parents, and the kids are not protected; when instead, addiction treatment for those parents - in programs or in jail - could force an end to so many issues. More police and more jails are needed so there is a way to carry through (with heating and air conditioning and better-paid trained staff). Facilities to house and rehab the homeless victims of human trafficking, also.
