Voters May Not be on the Dole

If you receive a check directly from the federal government, you may not vote in federal elections. There is an inherent conflict of interest in being on welfare, social security, or even an employee of the government’s and voting on your own income which comes at the expense of taxpayers.

We should return to being a land of free, INDEPENDENT men and women not reliant on receiving what amounts to other people’s money. And certainly having no ability to vote ourselves other people’s money.

As it stands, I am a retired military officer and would give up my right to vote because I receive a retirement check.

Every voting citizen must have skin in the game by being a contributor and not a consumer of the public purse.
