I’m not even sure this is possible but I have been hearing a lot of stuff about the voter rolls. North Carolina removed 747 thousand! It’s quite unbelievable.
Here’s my suggestion. After each election, the voter roles are wiped clean. The next time you would like to vote, you need to re-register. When registering to vote, you will need to provide a picture ID and a document such as a birth certificate or naturalization paperwork. This should keep the illegals and dead people from voting. I think this will go a long way in making our elections more secure.
Great ideas! I personally ran into an issue with our local town (Massachusetts)when I inquired about removing my dead in-laws from the local voter registration prior to the 2016 election. It was only after a phone call to our Town Hall that I discovered a family member of the deceased had to put IN WRITING that their relative had passed away and the family member had to request that those names be removed from the voter registration. Needless to say, I had a number of issues with this. Why, if the Town Hall received the death notice from hospital, funeral home, etc., couldn’t they just AUTOMATICALLY remove my in-laws from the registry? They have all the information they need to do so, why do the family members have to do this? What if they (deceased) didn’t have any children or relatives? Why is it up to the family to do the job of the Town Clerk? Who thinks to do this anyway (except me, maybe lol) I’m not sure if this is the way people are removed from the voter registrations in other states, but I think this would be easy enough to do for any City or Town Clerk as they need to update their systems with deaths, births , etc. for their Annual Reports. Why not just simply hit a tab and REMOVE them?? I would like to see this become AUTOMATIC FOR ALL 50 STATES. We absolutely need voter ID and documentation to prove that you are a LEGAL US CITIZEN to vote! We need to show ID for pretty much everything else. What the heck is so hard to show ID to vote?
I just posted something similar and I don’t see a reason to not do it. Add to this proof of residence and a paper trail. A 3rd party will house the voter rolls for every State for the previous 3 elections. Following the election, the voter rolls are given to that third part who then deletes the current last roll and inserts the newest. Simple document retention policy. Any effort to taint the voter rolls is considered a felony offense.
