Use bicarbonate to counter E. Coli and Lactobacillus bacteria as an antibiotic

Hi,

It is possible to use bicarbonate as an antibiotic against some bacteria types.

"Bacterial counts of Lactobacilli and E. coli organisms showed a significant reversal when sodium bicarbonate was added to the feed”

I suggest to investigate it for that. Bicarbonate also has a range of health influences in the digestion, and should in general be reviewed for its health effects and treatment options. The body makes bicarbonate itself when we breathe, but in some treatment cases it seems to help people. For example, in the study I linked where I quote the source from, it helped babies improve nutrient absorption rate from cows milk. They might not need that, but, it is worth looking at as part of an HHS investigation of bicarbonate studies. It could be investigated for farm usage too, perhaps it benefits some animal species and less medication might be needed. Or, perhaps it helps animals get healthier, too. I have seen websites suggest it also improves the health in pigs.

And again, I see “This is information I think is important and people should know” but absolutely nothing in terms of “I think the government should adopt policy X”.
