How about a celebration of our Countries most talented athletes? The winner in this 50 state olympics would have bragging rights and be the host of the next USA Olympics that brings in tourist money.
This would promote state pride. We need, as a people, to promote and support the best to give examples to our young. And The NFL, NBA, do not give good examples. Returning to hard work and social rewards. The World Olympics is mired in other countries’ problems but our Olympics could be the stable celebration we need.
I will agree, but only if Professional athletes ARE NOT allowed to play in Olympics.
Olympics used to be about the amateur athletes, but for some time it became all about winning, so they let in the pro athletes play.
