Replace the entire education system with school vouchers that parents can use to send their children to schools that reflect their values and respect their rights as parents to determine what should be taught their children.
Any entity that does not produce literate students who cannot pass standardized tests should be deemed ineligible for funding via these vouchers.
That should be the only requirement for eligibility for funding via the vouchers. The vouchers should be non-negotiable except as payment to institutions of education.
Disband the Department of Education.
