Please do not eliminate the U.S. Department of the Interior agencies of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and the Burau of Ocean Energy Management. I have a 38-year career with both, so I know what I’m talking about. Both agencies are crucial in helping private oil and gas companies explore, develop and produce oil and gas on and offshore. Do not convey U.S. public lands to the states, because they will sell them off and privatize them, and our remaining natural resources will not be protected and saved for U.S. citizens. Our U.S. Firefighting agencies, the BLM and the Forest Service are crucial and should not be eliminated. If you want to reduce employees, cut half of the U.S. Park Service workforce. They are way too bloated and over-zealous in protecting parklands. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen Park Service employees doing absolutely nothing when visiting national parks. It’s ridiculous.
