There should be a federal law for law enforcement to check all truck trailers at weigh stations. If it be an x ray machine, heat sensor, or a combination of so they can easily and quickly scan a truck to cut down on any human trafficking.
I would also add that if a truck “shows” as empty on the scan but their weight suggests there may be some cargo, that they are immediately checked.
Many of these trucks are people’s homes. Mandatory searches are no different then a mandatory search on your home. I agree trafficking is a problem, but this isn’t the solution
I’m not talking about the cabins of the truck. It’s for the trailers of the big semi’s. The driver doesn’t live back there and should have no issue with quick scans if they have nothing to hide.
