Term limits and zero pension for elected officials

It’s very simple. Term limits for all elected officials, NO pension, and zero tolerance for any personal gain while in office (including a complete ban on insider trading)! Have punishments that will stop any elected official from attempting to chance it! The punishments should leave them in complete fear of trying. And absolutely no voting for their own raises. Their pay will be determined by what the medium salary is in the area they represent.

This policy doesn’t need 500 characters. It speaks for itself! It’s simple and to the point! If there are any additional ideas anyone would like to add, please feel free to add them! All ideas are welcome! It’s time the people of this great nation stopped paying for politicians to get wealthy! No elected official should be in government for a life time pension! Government positions were never meant to be a 20 or 30 or 50 year position! So let’s get the old out and spring for some new blood in government.

I agree, if they made the median salary for the areas they represent with a term limit and no pensions, they would have a better idea of what the average American is going through and dealing with. That would greatly effect how they come up with their legislation.
