Tax Credit/Other Incentive for Weight Loss/Health Improvement

As a 31 year old man that is probably close to eighty pounds overweight, with RFK slated to be in charge of our health department, I could only hope to look like he does/be able to move like he does at 70!

My biggest hurdle right now is being a one (middle of the road to high low end earner) income household for two people, the $50+ a month gym membership is just something I can’t swing with trying to save for retirement as well as other bills I have.

What I would propose is some sort of system where as long as you can show improvements (or maintenance of when you hit a goal weight) in weight loss/health improvement where your gym fees (up to a certain amount based on location) are covered either outright by the government or in the form of a tax credit, and then on top of that maybe a small additional tax credit?

I’m not an individual that plans on having kids, but if we give families tax credits because they continue to populate our workforce (kids grow up to be taxpayers), it’d be nice to see something where having healthy citizens are rewarded as well which in turn would give you a healthier work force?

Not sure this is a policy per se, but just a concept to get people up and moving while reducing the cost burden associated with it.
