Create tax breaks and overtime pay for teachers, SLPs, and classified staff ( aids, janitors, lunch lady, etc) at schools. The lower jobs on the totem poll of education are the ones who put their heart and sole into it and still can’t make enough to feed their families. Often spending their own money on materials needed for the classroom. Teachers and SLPs often are spending hours of their own time trying to get things done that are expected of them. For free. This leads to burn out and people quitting education because of the low pay and high stress that is caused because of their jobs.
