Sucralose aka Splenda has snuck its way into the food industry 2000 and now not even considered an artificial sweetener. It can be hidden in the ingredient list. How do I know? Because I have violent stomach reactions when I eat something at a potluck that Splenda has been added to a sweetener. My first encounter with Splenda was over 20 years ago, while I was traveling and eating this new sugar free chocolate. I became violently sick “like a volcano in my stomach”. It took a few times to isolate it. I avoid it like the plague now, reading all labels and even health food products. I mean really…it is sugar split with chlorine, how healthy and natural is that?
Now after years of damage to the gut unbeknownst to the public here is the new data that has been pushed under the rug. Here is the research results on Splenda:
Splenda is a “Genotoxin” that Breaks apart DNA Chromosomes leading to cancer
Splenda Expresses the genes associated with inflammation, and oxidative stress
Splenda causes intestinal damage splitting the junctions apart creating leaking gut syndrome.
Splenda causes Irritable bowel syndrome
Splenda causes Metabolic Syndrome: increasing risk for Type 2 diabetes. cardio disease and death. (WHO))
Splenda causes weight gain
Increases pH levels, slowing down digestion
Kills 50% of good bacteria in gut
is considered a hepotoxin and nephrotoxin leading to liver and kidney lesions.
In theis study, it show how Splenda was accepted into the food market in 2000 and showed safety in studies. Recent studies are now debunking Splendas safety claims and show it to be detrimental to human life.

Both aspartame and sucralose, along with other artificial sweeteners, can sometimes cause increased urinary frequency in certain individuals. This effect varies, but some people find that artificial sweeteners like aspartame, sucralose, and acesulfame potassium can irritate the bladder or act as mild diuretics, leading to increased urination.
I was drinking flavored sparkling water with sucralose and aspartame, and now I wake up twice a night to urinate. I’ll have to see a urologist now, and I’m only 35.
Artificial sweeteners give me debilitating migraines, and I know I’m not the only one. These sweeteners are also in our medicines! Feel like you have the flu and would like NyQuil or a cough/cold medicine? Forget about it, can’t take it or I spend the next 3 days in bed with no light or noises. Restaurants and coffee shops also use it, so I need to be very cautious before ordering. Most times, I’m having to read the ingredients before I can even order anything. Why are they putting this poison in everything?
They are hiding chemical sweeteners under over 120 different names. All chemical sweeteners need to be banned. Leaving us with pure cane sugar and honey!
I have the same issues and it took me 10 years of suffering and several hospitalizations to figure it out! It’s also in our medications! Big Pharma knows it causes migraines and they put it in migraine medication. Stop the madness of big pharma!
If it isn’t possible to take out of food supply, at the very least it should be identified in the nutrtition facts label! The general population shouldn’t have to have know all the many names of artificial sweeteners to be able to avoid them if they choose. Sucralose annoys me particularly because the word is so similar to sucrose and may fool some people.
