The United States must stand firm on the global stage as a beacon of freedom to all Western Democracies. We must set the example for others to follow. The United States must sanction any and all countries that imprison its own citizens for violating any speech law enacted by that government. Many countries have enacted speech laws to stop speech it does not want to hear. Ultimately, these laws are only meant to censor its citizens. Freedom of speech is the bedrock of a free society.
