More research into why there is such an increase in spectrum diagnosis among children today and possible links (genetic or environmental) to causes. Including learning what can exasperate symptoms, financial support for individuals and families to access better therapies and afford a more balanced diet free of harmful chemicals, and more support in our public schools to aid these children to thrive in education without putting the burden solely on the teachers.

I know of these challenges having gone through interventions for my son in the 90s . Parent support groups were very helpful and that is where I learned about interventions such as Auditory Integration training and language program Fast ForWord. Fortunately my insurance paid for occupational therapy for sensory integration. Speech therapy for social skills was also helpful and should be covered by insurance too.
