Military families are deemed non-relevant. When families PCS spouses loose job, seniority pay and sick days. They have to find a new life at the next duty station. My family was Texas residents. When my daughter was accepted to UT Austin she was told Texas doesn’t accept military residents. …and yet Texas allows children who are here illegally free tuition. My husband just passed away. His pension has been stopped. We didn’t buy the insurance that would provide for me. Why should military families have to buy insurance?
These are just my personal examples. The treatment of military families need to be assessed and brought into light. Supportive policies need to be enacted. Our military is the heartbeat of this nation.
