I would like to suggest changing how people pay student loans. It is absolutely ridiculous that in your payments, only a portion goes to the actual principal amount. Instead of having the debtors pay an interest on top of the principal, change it to where they only pay the principal. Have it to where the interest kicks in when someone does not pay the bill on time, like a credit card. That way, you still have the incentive for people to pay, but they are adding more to the principal amount on a payment, which would have them pay off their loan amount sooner.
